TIDYING UP

allaboutmanners

the job

Pete is in the Wendy House,
It’s in a shocking mess,
But Pete has got an apron on
And Carly’s mother’s dress.
He tuts and frowns and then he shrugs,
And then he starts to smile,
And gradually he clears it up;
He whistles all the while.

Pete’s mum is in his bedroom,
It’s in a shocking state,
With clothes and toys strewn everywhere,
It means she will be late.
She tuts and frowns and then she says
As she clears up the mess
“He’ll never learn to tidy up;
That’s boys for you, I guess.”
